Sr. Quality Engineer/Quality Engineering Manager

Summary: This position will participate in the implementation and maintaining of QSR (21 CFR 820) and ISO 13485 quality systems and qualification activities of PulseTX system, disposable and reusable medical devices in support of the Company’s research and development, manufacturing, regulatory, and clinical affairs efforts.  In addition, this position will support the development and implementation of quality systems and compliance activities.

Qualification/Requirements:

This position requires 10+ yrs medical device experience and a BS degree in engineering, science or equivalent. Mastered the use of quality disciplines, tools, and methodologies. Must have excellent communication and project management skills. Working experience with FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820 & Part 11) and ISO 13485/MDD requirements are required. Must also have working knowledge and experience in the following areas: Design Control, Design & Process Validation, Risk Management, Biocompatibility, Sterilization Validation, Packaging Validation, Quality system compliance, Complaint handling, MDR/Vigilance Reporting, CAPA management, etc.

Sr. Mechanical R&D Engineer

Clinical Field Applications Specialist

Current Location: Burlingame, CA   |   download PDF >

Summary: This position will support the planning and implementation of clinical studies and the associated medical device training and operation for development and study of the Pulse Tx technology for dermatology applications. In addition, the position will oversee the use of the device for melanoma applications and other research projects in its early stages, and may be expanded to include supervision of other personnel operating devices in clinical and research studies.

Senior Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical R&D Engineer will be responsible for developing analog and digital circuitry for the delivery of high-voltage nanosecond pulsed electro signaling fields. This system will be capable of delivering extremely short but extremely high-energy, high-voltage pulses (in the kilovolt range). Responsibilities include: taking concepts from early prototypes to volume production, working closely with a multi-functional team for system integration, and developing close ties with new vendors/contract manufacturers. You will play a critical role in an early-stage startup environment with a small R&D team.

R&D Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a R&D Technician to assist both electrical and mechanical engineers in the development of complex medical devices. Responsibilities will include prototype construction, soldering, fixture design, bench testing, writing test protocols/reports, and troubleshooting electrical circuits or mechanical prototypes. You will work with a small R&D team of less than 5 people.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (other duties may be assigned as necessary)

  1. Work with engineers to create working prototypes, specs, and documents for new products.
  2. Design and coordinate the building of test fixtures.
  3. Write test protocols, conduct laboratory testing, and document results in reports.
  4. Develop and improve processes for assembling products.
  5. Assist with manufacturing phase-in of new products or product changes.
  6. Communicate proactively with team members to assure work is consistent with project deadlines.
  7. Maintain an accurate lab notebook and record of assignments/results.
  8. Create production documentation including BOMs, assembly instructions, and travelers.
  9. Provide support in the resolution of product complaints.
  10. Maintain a clean, safe, and well organized work area.
  11. Understand the company's quality policy and quality system requirements applicable to tasks.
  12. Comply with company policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations.
